During your stay at the hotel du forum you may visit numerous museums whilst enjoying the beautiful walks in the city centre and around.

At only 10 minutes walk from the hotel there is the Musée Départemental Arles Antique(MDAA). It is built near the relics of the Roman Circus and holds the complete collection of the archeological findings of the region, e.g. chaland gallo-romainCeasar’s bust, the Venus of Arles, sculptures, mosaïques, and much more make this museum a place not to miss for history lovers.

At 500m from the hotel the Fondation Van Gogh shows original works from the artist as well as from those who inspired him.

At only 2 minutes walk from the hotel you can visit the Musée Réattu and the Musée des Beaux Arts d’Arles, located in the Grand Prieuré of the Knights of Malta. This building alongside the river Rhone dates back to the end of the 7th century.

 

At a 5 minutes walk distance you find the Muséon Arlatan in the former Jesuit College, as well as the Hôtel Laval-Castellane, built on the Roman Forum. This museum has been created by the poet Frédéric Mistral and is a place to remember the history of the Provence, from the ancient times until today. It is currently closed for renovation and scheduled to reopen in 2017.
